Oh no! Another Flexseal DIY Disaster! - Boston, MA

Joseph Coupal - Friday, August 26, 2016

Flex Seal is the stuff you see on TV where the guy replaces a screen with the bottom of a boat, sprays this on and sails away. Well, maybe it works on the bottom of a boat, but we've been seeing for a few years, homeowners putting this on basement cracks and then the cracks leak.

A new product that they have comes in a 1 gallon and 5 gallon containers. It's rolled onto the cement wall in order to seal it. . We had a homeowner who bought it, it's quite expensive. He had multiple basement wall cracks and leaking tie-rods. After applying, he called us because all he cracks and tie rods were still leaking. He spent quite a bit of time applying it.
